On November 17th 1982 William Patrick Rooney III was born to my delight.........It was a boy!
He was sweet from the beginning (a little whiney at times). He grew into a wonderful boy and then became a great man, husband and father. This is the first birthday without him and it's been so incredibly hard! A Mother's love is tender and fierce at the same time but without him sometimes it feels lost. I love you Patrick with all of my heart!

I found your blog through your Erynn's. I just wanted to stop by and offer my sincere condolonces on the death of your son. I never had the honor of meeting him, but going back through Erynn's blog posts, I can tell he was a wonderful boy. As a new mother myself, I cannot imagine the pain that you are feeling, adding to the grief of losing your husband at the same time.
My heart aches for you and your family. I hope that God continues to bring you peace and I will pray for you.

I have been following your blog, but haven't commented before; I have felt so inadequate!!!! I can only imagine how hard it was to spend Pat's birthday without him!! Thanks for sharing the pictures. I heard from Matt how much fun the golf tournament was. I know it must be so hard to start into the holiday season without Bill and Pat. I think of you often and pray for you, daily!
