Story Quilts

Christmas has proved to be a difficult time without Bill and Patrick here to help celebrate it anymore. There was something different about this year however and I think I know one of the reasons why. There was a special gift given to Sean and Colin. Little did I realize that these special gifts given FROM me would actually feel like a gift TO me!
A very talented seamstress in Washington made beautiful quilts out of Bill's clothing telling stories that captured wonderful memories of my sons with their father and older brother. Tears were shed as each quilt was opened and then marveled at. Tears turned to smiles as each event was relived. We laughed! Then a sense of healing takes place as we remember all of the great times that we had. I'm convinced that these quilts hold in them an almost magical quality of peace and comfort.

Debi, I'm so pleased that my quilts had such a positive impact on you, Sean and Colin. I felt honored to be allowed to work with you on this special project and am so glad that you loved the quilts. For sure the spirit of Bill guided me as I worked with his clothes, your pictures and your happier memories. I'm happy to see that these quilts have allowed you to truly "wrap yourselves in their memories".

Does she have a link to a website or anything? My husband died a month ago and we have a young son who would love one like this. Please let me know. My email is rwolf8@austin.rr.com, and my name is Kerry.
