What happened to "Happily Ever After?"

Once upon a time there was a girl. She grew up to be a head strong young woman who had all kinds of ideas about who she wanted to be when she grew up. She wanted to travel the world. There was so much to see and experience. She was quite independent!

Then she met the man of her dreams and she changed all of her plans. She wanted to marry him and start a family and she did. "She" became a "they" and together they raised three marvelous boys and had a really nice life full of fun and laughter. There was school, sports and lots of vacations to go on. Great memories were made with family and friends. Life was good. No, life was great!

On a horrible day not long ago all of that changed. The rug got taken out from under that girl while she was experiencing that great life. The man of her dreams along with one of those marvelous sons went to heaven and left her to cry rivers of tears. Her "happily ever after" was destroyed in an instant. Now she wonders what to do. She wonders who she is. She wonders if life will ever be good again.

What a GREAT picture!! I am so happy you have so many wonderful memories of pictures to look back on and that you can pass along your memories with Will and Reeese. But I HATE that future memories were taken away. You and Erynn are ALWAYS in my thoughts. xo

I've said it before and i'll say it again because I don't know what else to say and it's better than nothing at all:

I am so-so sorry for your loss.

((((HUG))))

I love that picture and always makes me smile when I go up stairs... but now that I'm thinking- I think you moved it? Anyway, this made my cry. I feel the same way. Out of the blue, it's just all ripped from you.

A beautiful picture! Praying that you will find joy and happiness again....In the faces of your two beautiful grandchildren, your two sons and future grand babies,in the wonderful extended family you seem to have.

Learning about Bill & Patrick through the blogs this past year and the wonderful people that they were it is what they would want for you, Erynn and the whole family. But of course it's very easy for me to write these things, it's another for you to live it!

Praying for you all every day!!!

My darling daughter, life will get better. We have so many memories to be thankful for. Now with the addition of Jana and Reese, some joyful moments have returned. Nothing will ever replace the loss but I am thankful for the new prospects and the old memories. I also hurt every day, for myself and for you. I still cry a lot but I have faith in the Lord that he will ease the burden with time. Unfortunately it will be His time, not ours. Love God. Trust God.
And rember that I love you more than you will ever know. Dad.
